The store owner has always been short and rude every time I've been there. Unless the older man that I think is his dad is there, you can bet he'll be an jerk. He should sell the store to someone that has a personality for hardware business. The only reason he is still in business is close location to all the lakes in the area. Everyone I talk too says he has been rude. Take your business to either Farwell Hardware that's very friendly, or Evart Hardware that is also good. I can't believe he is still in business. I'll drive farther after my last experience. The guy never gives a receipt either unless you ask him. Luckily the price tag has lake hardware right on it. He gives you a hard time when returning unopened boxes of screws, accusing you of taking some out of box. How can you if it's sealed and taped. Just go somewhere else, he doesn't appreciate your business.
I had one of the worst experiences in customer service today. The owner was very disrespectful and made it seem like I was wasting his time. I was attempting to pay for my items with exact change and he yelled at me to hurry up. I will never shop there again. I will now tell everyone that I know to shop else where. I have never experienced such inappropriate behavior by a store owner.
The actual hardware store is down the main street on I believe the same block at S/W corner.
Possibly a hardware store many years ago. It now may possibly be a small engine repair shop, like for chainsaws.
Fast friendly service
I called up to see if they had a specific belt for my vaccume. Eventually they guy told me Jed be better off seeing the belt. No issue. My husband run up with the belt fully in tact (it had stretched and loosened) to seek assistance. Mine you he nor I a overly vaccume tech inclined. But we put faith in the fact that the person who works at the store with a wall dedicated to vaccume belts would be able to assist. We were WRONG. Not only had he sold us the wrong style (ours is a no stretch this was a stretch) but this belt burnt up and snapped in my machine leaving a gross smell shortly after using it. Like within minutes. This happened on Monday before the 4th. Today was the first time we had a chance to go back. Broken wrong belt, and not working correct belt in hand. Basically we were told it wasn't their issue. We purchased it all sales are final. Even when told we purchased what they told us to and trusted their oppinion.... Not thier problem....Well.... this is why small town shops close...... Guess big chain store and Amazon wins again....
